A melt temperature transmitter is an intelligent temperature transmitter that converts thermocouple or RTD signals from molten material into a standardized industrial output, typically 4–20 mA or digital bus protocols. Mounted close to the sensing point or integrally with the sensor, the compact temperature transmitter amplifies, linearizes, and compensates for cold-junction errors, delivering high-stability readings despite electromagnetic interference and wide ambient temperature swings. Advanced models feature programmable ranges, diagnostic alerts for sensor drift or open-circuit faults, and HART® or PROFIBUS® communication for configuration and data logging. The housing is rugged with IP67 ratings and strong vibration resistance for extruder environments.
