This hydrostatic level transmitter measures liquid level by detecting hydrostatic pressure exerted by the fluid column above the sensor. A submerged piezoresistive or capacitive diaphragm converts pressure into an electrical signal, compensated for density and atmospheric variations. The hydrostatic level transmitter outputs a standardized 4–20 mA or digital protocol signal proportional to height. The submersible level transmitter suits open or vented tanks, reservoirs, and sumps with clean, non-aggressive liquids. Installation is simple via bottom-mounted or submersible probes. Accuracy depends on temperature stability and calibration, yet the submersible level sensor remains cost-effective for continuous, reliable level monitoring in water treatment, fuel storage, and industrial processes where direct contact is acceptable.
