This oil well flow meter generally refers to a multiphase oil well flowmeter that measures the simultaneous flow of oil, water, and gas directly from a wellhead without separating the phases. The oil well flow meter combines a differential pressure element, such as a Venturi or cone, to determine the total mass flow, with microwave, capacitance, or gamma‑ray sensors to quantify the phase fractions and individual velocities. Advanced algorithms and neural networks interpret the sensor readings, compensating for changing flow regimes, salinity, and gas fraction variations that occur naturally in production.
